In education, African Food Security (AFS) platform has built numerous affiliations with tertiary educational institutions including an official partnership with Michigan State University (MSU) College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR). This alliance will enable transfer of educational skills to local communities to enhance knowledge in the fields of cattle nutrition, carbon absorption and offsets, and management of agronomy and livestock related resources, in areas where this level of education specific to agriculture may not be developed.
This educational initiative sets up computer study rooms for students to access the internet and contributes to closing the digital literacy gap in Cameroon. AFS supplies computers to primary and secondary schools in rural communities in Cameroon.
Women’s Health has been a key issue for our communities. Through our partners in the United States, Movements in Medicine, we have been able to collect women's health products and send them to the schoolgirls in Cameroon.
In the domain of sports, AFS projects are initiated with soccer and basketball. The idea is creating local soccer leagues with different villages in surrounding communities, and providing all necessary resources, contributing all resources enabling these local teams to thrive.
